What does it mean to be Involved?

Being involved on campus means being a part of larger community and finding a home away from home. Joining clubs leads students to new friends, skills, and unforgettable experiences. Through being involved with different groups on campus, students can impact their community and peers in a positive way.

What does it mean to be a Student Leader?

Student leaders enhance their own leadership abilities, while also providing opportunities for other club members to lead and grow. Leaders must adapt to unforeseen challenges, meet the needs and expectations of others, and reflect upon their own work to improve leadership. Additionally, student leaders collaborate with their peers towards achieving a goal or mission through effective communication.

What does it mean to start a new organization?

Starting a new organization means creating a space for other students to feel included while committing towards achieving a common goal. Your organization will have a new impact on campus and allow students to become involved in their community in a new and exciting way

The Involvement Fair already happened, but I still want to join organizations. What do I do?

Go on UConntact! UConntact houses all of the club pages. Simply search for the club you are looking for or select the category. Once you find a club you would like to join, you can click ‘Contact’ on the top right to communicate with the group’s executive board about potentially joining the organization.

What trainings do I need to complete for my position?

SOLID workshops provide organization leaders with information on the policies and requirements associated with student groups on campus, an in-depth overview of UConntact, and effective strategies and suggestions specific to each Student Leader position. Click here to see what workshops need to be completed based on your Student Leader Position. What if I don’t complete my requirements?

If you do not complete your Active status requirements, your organization will not become Active. If you do not complete the requirements by the semester deadline, your group will no longer exist at UConn.

Where can I sign up for in-person SOLIDs?

Http://uconntact.uconn.edu/organization/solid/events to RSVP your spot for an upcoming workshop!

Where can I complete the online trainings?

You can complete online trainings on HuskyCT. Login with your NetID, then scroll below your classes

What if I do not see the online trainings on my HuskyCT?

You need to self-enroll in the class. To do so, login with your NetID and password. Click ‘Academic Resources’ - ‘SOLID’ Course ID - Enroll - Submit

How can I check my group’s SOLID status?

Visit Solid.uconn.edu and click “Solid Status Listing”. This will bring you to a PDF document that lists all organizations status.

Why is my group “Frozen”?

A Tier-I or Tier-II group may be frozen for a number of reasons. Groups are commonly frozen if their officers have not completed the required trainings, fail to submit a Constitution, or do not have a Faculty/Staff advisor. Check out the Solid Status Listing for your organization’s specific status.

How do I get Funding?

Active Tier-II RSOs are eligible to request funding from the Undergraduate Student Government (for Undergrad groups) or the Graduate Student Senate (for Graduate groups).

GSS: Please visit https://gss.uconn.edu/funding-2/ for an overview.

I have a Business Services Account, How do I check my balance?

Business Service Accounts and transactions are now on UConntact!
Login with your NetID and access your RSO Page > then Manage Organization
From the 3-line Left menu, click FINANCE > ACCOUNT
From here you can review all of your posted transactions!
