The Student Organization Leaders Intentional Development (SOLID) program is an initiative to ensure that you, as student organization leaders, are properly equipped to lead your groups successfully and utilize all of the resources available. The goals of SOLID are to:
- help your student organization(s) achieve its goals
- develop your leadership knowledge and skills
- ensure that you are aware of university policies and resources
- promote responsibility, respect, and positive experiences through student organizations
SOLID workshops provide organization leaders with information on the policies and requirements associated with student groups on campus, an in-depth overview of UConntact, and effective strategies and suggestions specific to each Student Leader position.

The Policies & Procedures workshop is NOT REQUIRED in 2020-2021. The In-Person Treasurer Workshop (Storrs Campus) has moved to an online format on HuskyCT. Previous in-person credit is maintained.
SOLID Status Definitions
ACTIVE organizations have met all SOLID requirements and are listed on UConntact, eligible for space, funding and advisement requests
FROZEN organizations have not yet met all SOLID requirements. Please contact SOLID@uconn.edu for information related to your status
LOCKED organizations are administratively temporarily suspended based on conduct or failure to complete requirements (ie constitution renewal)
INACTIVE organizations have disbanded or have been suspended.

SOLID Workshop Descriptions: Storrs Campus
Organization Mission, Values, and Culture (Tier I, Tier II)
- Attendees: All Presidents, Vice Presidents, Treasurers, and Secretaries

- Purpose: This workshop covers concepts of developing and enacting an organization's mission; how individuals contribute to organizational values, and the 6 components of an engaged membership culture.

- Purpose: This workshop covers best practices in organizational financial management

Role of a Secretary (Tier I, Tier II)
- Attendees: All Secretaries
- Frequency/Format: One time attendance (does not need to be retaken each year). This is an Online Workshop through HuskyCT.
- Purpose: This workshop is to dive deep into the role of the Secretary and provide useful tools and tips and technology to enact their job duties
