To assist student leaders in getting off to a good start with their organizations, the Student Involvement office has launched a new event called SOLAR. The Student Organization Leadership Retreat is a great opportunity for Student Leaders who wish to develop their skills as an officer and better run their organization on campus!
This retreat has been designed as a Student Org Officer development day. Some of the events that are offered may include:
- Keynote speakers and sessions related to critical problem solving
- Fundraising 101
- USG funding session
- Recruitment & retention
- How to get the most out of social media for your group
- And much more!
This is an amazing opportunity for Student Leaders who are devoted to the success of their Student Organization.

Registration for the Student Organization Leadership Retreat is open until July 31st.
All attendees will be invited to move back to campus on Thursday, August 21, 2014. Attendees must attend the entire day of workshops or will be charged for early-move in.
