Manage: Customize your Page, and get Recruiting!

  • Customize! Make your organization stand out! You can set photos and logos for your organizations picture, and the header to your site! Check us out at: (SOS LINK/INV OFFICE LINK) for examples. You can also set your font and colors!
  • Set interests for your organization that new members will be matched to. This functions like an automatic recruitment to all new students who log in, before they even search!

About: Who are you??

  • Utilize your About section to allow prospective members who view your page to see what your organization is really all about.
  • You can also add upcoming meetings here.

Events: What are you up to?

  • The virtual flyerboard on the front of UConntact will list all of your upcoming events to campus. You can also create members-only events!
  • Be creative! Flyers do not have to be just text, or graphic-heavy. If you are having an ice-cream party, your flyer can be a picture of an ice-cream cone…when students click the ice-cream, they get to see the details!
  • The Event feature now has RSVP!

Roster: Who is in your organization?

  • By managing your roster you can create Internal Officer Positions (in addition to your COO, CFO, SEC)
  • You can message your members by position, individual, or everyone all within UConntact!
  • Use this feature to invite new members to your organization, and to check prospective members that have clicked to join!

Documents: Where did we put that??

  • Orgs can upload documents to your individual page. This saves paper and time by not having to hunt around for lost documents!
  • If you do not have a current copy of your constitution, please contact us at dsasos@uconn.edu. Also note that an organization’s constitution is only valid for 2 years and must be kept on file with our office. We will contact organizations who are due for a renewal.

News: What’s going on?

  • The news section lets you post articles about the successful events your organization has been having, as well as any new upcoming information from your organization.

Photos: Time to show off!

  • Promote the fun and great events that you have in your organization by uploading photos! Uploading photos is a great way to keep a history of your past events.
  • Photos can be set to public and private views (just for your org members)! (note: policy on inappropriate photos found on the SOS Organization Page Documents)

Forms: Let’s make a decision!

  • You can create forms to help your organization make decisions!
  • Forms can be for RSVPing, Choosing Favorite Org Color, Gathering additional contact information on your membership, among many other things!

Elections: Let’s vote on Them!

  • Organizations can run online elections to vote for upcoming open positions each year, or throughout the semester!
